our maiden trip.
greetings~ im finally ready to relate the fourth day of orientation!!
haha. sorry. i know it's bit lag. but please be understanding. for me.
anyways. we went for some super boring living in auckland workshop.
the only excitement that kept me going was the prizes they gave.
whenever you get a question right, chocolates await you! wow:)
but before the workshop. we had lunch in school.
i had a char siew bao that's filled with black pepper. weird.
and also salmon sushi. it costs $1.80 for one. expensive!

but luckily the soya sauce had cute packaging. haha.
not much pictures for this day. but we decided to cook dinner.
haha. went to foodtown. this huge supermarket.
got the ingredients. potatoes. cheese.
luncheon meat. salt. pepper. mayo.
and ta-da!! here's our 1st cooked dinner. haha.
i know it doesnt look appealing. its just the lighting.
pretty yummy. i ate more than usual. but very sinful.
look at that huge chunk of mayo!
and that rounds up the day. but before sleeping.
i completed the jigsaw. pretty pretty:)
the next day, we decided to travel to mission bay.
its about 10minutes drive away. but the bus ride cost $3.20!
madness. that's only for 1 way o. tsk.
this is how the ticket looks like. haha.
not only the food serving here is bigger.
even the bus ticket is 6 times the size of our bus ticket.
and since the transportation system here is not as efficient.
we had to wait almost 40minutes for the bus.
so we took some pictures here and there.

as the wait got longer. we were hungry! very hungry!

and finally!! we reached mission bay. heh. very windy and sunny.

via recommendation. we settled for this. fish pot cafe.
and all had fish and chips. tastes quite normal. not fantastic.
after filling our stomachs. we were energized.
so went for a stroll. it was quite a pretty sight.
as you can see, there are many things to do:)
a place for relaxation. to watch the world go by.
and then. we had kids playing with freezing water.

alright! other than things to do with the freezing water.
there are other stuff to do too.
like romantic walks with your man and dog:)
ladies gossiping. or should i say catching up. haha.
anyway. i like to prove another point.
other that people here love the sun.
here in new zealand, man and birds coexist.
there are evidence in the next few pictures!

and lastly. i don't know what you call this.
but the guy is pumping it well. and shortly.
out he goes. onto the blue blue sea.
it's really difficult to control it. in a such windy weather.
so everyone was clapping for him once he got off shore.
very supportive people around here:)

and it's time to leave mission bay.
the very 1st place we conquered ourselves.
but it wasn't easy to navigate.
we got lost searching for the right busstop.
we then had a dinner date with aunty clansy.
aunty clansy is xuan's daddy's friend. she's a sweet lady:)
brought us to this cantonese cafe. it's super super yummy.
i felt really xinfu when having the meal. touched. reminded me of home.
this is like the best meal since arrival in auckland. really appreciate it!
thank you aunty clansy, xuan and xuan's daddy. heh:)
anyways. i only took 1 picture. was too busy eating the yummy dishes.
the last dish: red bean soup.
it made me miss my mama's cooking:(
nevertheless. it was a great meal!:)
then we went home. this is where i stay.
